Artist or Collection Biography: | Parvaneh means butterfly in Farsi, and she has been drawing and painting butterflies since she was a very young child. Parvaneh’s artistic passion began at a very early age when her father noticed her outlining the flower images on the family’s precious Persian carpet with a pencil at age four. Her parents wisely provided paper and colored pencils and she has been making art ever since. Parvaneh earned a degree in fine arts in 1979 from London Central School of art and Design, and has worked with Caspari for over twenty years. |
